The Novaparke Team
The individuals below make up the Novaparke team. From members of the Floyd County Redevelopment Commission to the Floyd County Board of Commissioners, these governmental bodies have been the force behind the development and success of Novaparke. Each individual brings a unique and interesting set of life skills and experiences. These characteristics are what shaped the ethos of the Novaparke Innovation and Technology mission.
Redevelopment Commission
Bob Woosley
Bob has served on the Board as its President since the founding of the Redevelopment Commission in 2014. Bob is a 1992 graduate of the University of Louisville’s JB Speed Scientific School of Engineering where he earned his bachelors and masters degrees in Civil Engineering. He is the founder and president of Heritage Engineering (located in Jeffersonville, IN). Bob has served as the Town Engineer for Georgetown (IN) since 2005 where he has helped in the growth and economic development of the region. He is a current board member of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana where he has served for four years as Floyd County’s appointed member to the board. Bob resides in the Floyds Knobs area with his wife Janet and two adult children.
Richard Bowling
Floyd County Redevelopment Commission Vice President Richard Boling is a graduate of New Albany High School and Indiana University Southeast, where he served on the university’s board of advisors, and as president of its alumni association. Boling also previously served as the president of the Rotary Club of New Albany, as a member of the board of directors of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the board of governors of the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research. He currently serves on the advisory board for the Gheens Science Hall/Rauch Planetarium at the University of Louisville, and on the board of the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. A member of the 2008 class of Leadership Southern Indiana, Boling is vice president of Floyd County’s Techshot, a Redwire Company, which develops, owns and operates research and manufacturing equipment in space. He joined the company more than 20 years ago.

County Commissioners
Alfred Knable
Al is a Floyd County Commissioner, representing District 1, since 2023. Formerly, he served as an At-Large member of the New Albany City Council for seven years.
He is a New Albany High School graduate and an alumnus of Purdue University and Indiana University Medical School; a US Air Force veteran.
He is a practicing Dermatologist with and a managing partner of Associates in Dermatology; a senior partner with Vaughn-Knable Consulting and a guest columnist for the News and Tribune.
Al currently serves on the Caesar’s Foundation board; the Storm Water, Youth Shelter, EMS Advisory, and Solid Waste boards; Salvation Army and Hosparus Community Advisory boards and is a past President of the NAFC Education Foundation.
Al and his wife, Jessica, the proud parents of four, reside in New Albany where both exercise and read avidly.
John Schellenberger
John serves as Commissioner representing District 2 since 2017 and served on the County Council from 2006 to 2016.
Jason Sharp
Jason has served as County Commissioner representing District 3 since 2023. He is also a 23-year professional firefighter.
